Welcome to the Avalon Tennis website. We are approaching our 13th season of providing weekly tennis camps/lessons for juniors (ages 5 to 15) and adults. Our Junior Camps are geared to children looking to learn the game for the first time as well as those children who have been enrolled in tennis lessons and clinics up to the intermediate level.
Advanced level players ages 9 and up can enroll in our advanced program taught exclusively by Bill Seward and Scott Campbell. The maximum teacher/student ratio for the beginner/intermediate group is 9:1, and the advanced group is 6:1.
We provide lessons by appointment for juniors and Adults at all levels of play from beginner to nationally ranked.

The entire program is directed by Bill Seward, a former #1 ranked New Jersey Tennis District in both adult/junior divisions. Bill was a conference champion on Furman University’s Division 1 Men’s Tennis Team graduating in 1986. Plus, he enjoyed many wins over ATP ranked players. Bill’s extensive playing and coaching experience creates a dynamic teaching environment for all participants.
Class Time-
- Camp fee for beginner/intermediate: $279/week.
- Camp fee for advanced/high performance: $325/week.
- Lesson fee: $80/hour.
Beginners/Intermediates Weekly Highlights
- Use of Quickstart nets and balls when appropriate. Ages 5-
6. - Development of all strokes
- Drills/games to improve hand/eye coordination
- Development of Footwork
- Increased physical fitness
- End week with a desire to continue with the game!!
Advanced/High Performance Weekly Highlights
- Technical refinement of all strokes through intense drilling.
- Improve footwork and physical fitness for match play.
- Match play both singles and doubles
- “How to” play the game of tennis. STRATEGY!
